Nestled just south of Coventry in Warwickshire, Stoneleigh Abbey is a Grade I listed country house and estate, rich with centuries of history.
The house we see today blends medieval, Georgian, and baroque styles. The West Wing, built in the early 18th century, features the magnificent Saloon, hailed as one of the finest Georgian interiors in England.

Founded in 1154 as a Cistercian monastery, the estate became home to the Leigh family after the Dissolution of the Monasteries. They lived here from 1561 to 1990, gradually becoming one of Warwickshire’s largest landowners.
Landscape designer Humphry Repton enhanced the grounds, creating a mirror lake on the River Avon - a view best appreciated from the raised platform across the water.

Stoneleigh Abbey has welcomed royalty, including Queen Victoria in 1858, and literary figures like Lord Byron. England’s most beautiful cricket pitch still hosts matches today.
Stoneleigh Abbey is more than a stately home - it’s a living piece of history, where architecture, gardens, and stories come together for an unforgettable experience.
