A pair of Coventry cafés joined businesses across the country by donating a slice of their profits to Comic Relief.
No Ordinary Hospitality Management (NOHM) has thanked customers who visited two of its venues on Red Nose Day after customers helped to raise over £170 for the charity.
The funds were raised at two of the group’s outlets, Café in the Park at Coombe Abbey and The Park Bistro at War Memorial Park in Coventry, after setting a portion of the day’s profits aside to give to charity.
Red Nose Day 2023 took place on Friday, March 17 in support of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the UK and abroad. This year’s event raised over £35 million.
Through food and drinks sales from NOHM’s breakfast and lunch menus, the venues raised a total of £176.70 to support the charity’s continuing work for good causes.
Ryan Hobday, Manager at the Park Bistro, said: “It is great to support such a worthwhile cause on Red Nose Day this year, raising money throughout the day.
“We are grateful to our customers for helping us raise over £170 at the Park Bistro and at our sister venue Café in the Park at Coombe Abbey.
“Staff are all looking forward to other opportunities for fundraising throughout the year, as our locations provide great opportunities to interact with members of the public and contribute to good causes.”
