Pastry Chef – Tales of Tea

Work for ‘Tales of Tea’ located at the newly renovated St Mary’s Guildhall. It is our brands intention to offer the best afternoon tea within Coventry city centre.

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef who will be responsible for creating high quality pastry dishes which will meet our customers’ expectations. Candidates must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people efficiently and effectively.

A good knowledge of different pastry, dessert and cake decorating is essential, with the know-how to recognise quality products, presentations, and flavours.

Shifts will be vary between 8am-4pm and 10am – 6pm

Tales Of Tea

Food and Beverage Assistant – Tales of Tea

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Tales of Tea based at St Mary’s Guildhall, a variety of options will be available to customers including light pastries, lunch items, afternoon tea – we will also offer private functions in the evening.

The person in this role must have excellent working knowledge, and they maintain a clean environment at all times. There are various shift patterns available and it will include evening and weekend work.

This is a really exciting opportunity to work in a unique setting with great historical importance to the city and local area.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £9.50-£10.00 per hour

We are looking for Kitchen Porters to join our Tales of Tea based at St Mary’s Guildhall, the successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring all of the crockery and glassware is cleaned and tidied away always maintaining the right stock levels for service.

You will also keep the service area, cupboards and guest corridors tidy and clean

These shifts will be five over seven days and will include evening and weekend work.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our Tales of Tea team as a Supervisor based at St Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry city centre. The ideal candidate will ensure the correct and efficient running of the Restaurant and offer a high level of service to meet guest expectations.

It is essential that the communication between the restaurant and the kitchen is effective, and it is the Supervisor’s responsibility to ensure that this happens. We need a strong leader who can motivate and influence the team to ensure we deliver excellent service every time.

Group Accounts Receivable Co-Ordinator – Coombe Abbey Hotel

Scope of Position

To control the Accounts Receivable processes at Coombe Abbey Park Limited

  • Issue Client Invoices
  • Collect files from Sales office
  • Check postings against Guestline (PMS)
  • Obtain the function charge sheet
  • Deal with invoice queries
  • Work with Meeting and Events Coordinator(s) to resolve as quickly as possible
  • Manage the debt chasing procedures
  • Post payments received in bank account (s)
  • Process Amex receipts
  • Maintain upsells and restaurant deposits
  • Check TA commissions for conference bookings
  • Work with Group Income Auditor to assist and provide cover
  • Liaise with Group Assistant Financial Controller on other tasks
